Over 25 years have passed since I joined a local thatching firm as an apprentice. I've spent years perfecting and teaching others the traditional skills and craftsmanship required for working with water reed and wheat reed.
I've thatched hundreds of beautiful cottages for happy customers across Dorset and Hampshire. A few years ago I decided to start my own business, Hampshire & Dorset Thatching.

Like most cottages, every project we complete is bespoke to the roof, porch, garage or outbuilding we are working on. We'll walk you through every step of your project and are always happy to offer advice.
We complete all aspects of thatching, from repair or refurbishment, to re-ridging and complete re-thatch. All our work is guaranteed and completed to the highest standards.
We work across Dorset and Hampshire, with a lot of our work in the New Forest area.
